Relationships are meant to take time

Everything is fast these days- the food we eat, the clothes we wear (ready-made outfits), the way we compute, our transportation, the way we communicate etc. ‘The faster, the better’ seems to be the motto of this generation. Yet, nothing everything answers to that slogan. Some things have refused to bow to this trend and if you want to get the best out of them, you have to go the old-fashioned way of ‘slow and steady’.
Relationships- good, productive relationships- are one of the things that require the old-fashioned touch to work. Yes, online dating and various apps are there to make it easier and faster but then the one that always works best and is more reliable is the good, old face-to-face.
Thus, if you want to enjoy a healthy relationship that is actually heading somewhere then you have to be ready to put in the work and time.
You can’t have it at the snap of a finger; it’s not a 3-minute plate of noodles. Also, you can’t expect to handle it carelessly or give it little attention and then still have it blossom; you can’t have your cake and still eat it.
Don’t be pissed when your partner wants to spend more time with you. Don’t be pissed when your relationship seems to be moving slower than you expected. You can’t set a timer on your relationship and assume it will work it the way you planned; it is not a time bomb. Don’t be pissed when your partner does not open up to you as much as you want.
Simply learn patience. Give it your best and take it a step at a time. Relationships take a lot from you; they are meant to.

The truth always comes out

When a guy likes a girl, it is said that whether or not the guy confesses his feelings, a girl always knows and it is actually true. This then means that it is not merely what one says that gives the person away; there is more.
Loving someone activates something in you like a homing device so that you two are interconnected. This is why you would know how your partner would react in certain situations, what the person would say and what the person prefers. Love does that to people. It makes them so in sync.
Therefore, it would be futile to try and hide stuff from your partner. Unless your partner does not pay attention, as long as you care for each other then your partner would always be able to tell when something is off with you. In that vein, I advise that you try not to hide things that bother you. Your expression, mannerisms, carriage etc will always give you away. Your partner might not know the exact thing that is wrong with you but he/ she will always be able to tell that you are not fine.
This ‘homing device’ is also why a guy/ lady will suspect when the lover is cheating. Usually, it is an insult to your partner’s intelligence when you try to hide stuff like that.
The reason, most times, that people are shocked by a cheating partner is not because they didn’t sense something was wrong. It was because they didn’t want to believe their sixth sense was right. They wanted to believe the best of their partners.
Therefore, whatever you are hiding, no matter how well you think you are good at it, your partner can always sense it except the person decides to look away.

The law of karma: law of neutrality

The law of karma is equivalent to Newton's law of "every action you take will return to you in like manner". The law of Neutrality is the Buddhist and Hindu version of the Golden rule stating that, "What you do to others will return and be done to you".
This is deep and should be the guiding force of all that we do, even the little inconsequential actions we think do not matter.
I try to imagine a world where everyone lived judiciously by this singular rule. If everyone solely believed that whatever you sow, you will reap, the world will begin its healing and be transformed into the world of our dreams. What is given to the universe will be given back to you. This ultimately translates to the reality of fruits of positivity when you sow seeds of positive feelings in the lives of those around you.
The next time you want to plan that revenge, stop and rethink. The next time you want to say those harsh words and insults that are demoralizing, stop and reconsider.
Beware of actions you take! Many tales that have ended in sadness can be understood from the law of karma. Evaluate the daily choices you make and the consequences of each one. Will they bring happiness to the life of others or your life alone? What effect will your action render to those affected by it?
The law of karma is real.

Nollywood actor says he’d never date Simi except she apologized to Nigerian men for calling them unromantic

The self-proclaimed “Best Actor” in Nigeria, Uche Maduagwu has weighed in on Simi’s comment about Naija men not being romantic in Nature. According to him, he would never date her except she tendered an apology for saying so.
Simi had said in an interview that Nigerian men have a sense of undue entitlement and lack what it takes to be romantic. The sweet-voiced singer blamed the unromantic nature of Nigerian men to Nigerian mothers who she says failed to educate them on the modus operandi of romance. But Uche Maduagwu is not having any of that talk.
The Nollywood actor categorically stated that Simi will have to tender an apology to Nigerian men else she stands no chance with a man like him. Uche Maduagwu wishes all Naija men were like him. That way, Simi would end up a nun, as she wouldn’t get even Adekunle Gold’s attention, not to mention Falz. Basically, no Naija man would have her time.
But the actor can only demand an apology. It is now left for Simi to either tender the apology or not. Does Simi even consider her words an insult to Nigerian men? Guys, let’s discuss this. Does Simi owe Naija men an apology?

Nicki Minaj spotted chilling beside Wizkid like a “Wannabe Bae” – this could be dangerous

American female star, Nicki Minaj, who was the cause of the beef between two American rappers Meek Mill and Safaree Samuels, was recently pictured chilling lustfully beside Wizkid like she couldn’t wait to get laid by the singer.

After spending just two weeks in Nigeria, Wizkid flew back to the United States to continue with his Africa to the world campaign. On arrival, he decided to precede the continuation of the tour with some clubbing. That’s Wizzy for you!!!

But then, he didn’t do it alone. He went alongside Nicki Minaj. Or perhaps Nicki Minaj made sure Wizzy didn’t hit the club without her. The duo had a nice time together and took a snapshot to capture the moment. Furthermore, they took to their different Twitter accounts to share the snapshot they took together and it’s lit!!! You need to see it!!!

But the baffling thing is the way Nicki positioned herself beside Wizzy boy. She sat as though she couldn’t wait to zoom off with Wizzy to the bathroom to have a quickie. Seeing what happened between Meek Mill and Safaree Samuels, it is feared that Wizzy might come under attack for rolling with Nicki. He better be careful. What do you think???

I will decline N1 million English film for N200,000 Yoruba film – Oga Bello

When veteran Yoruba actor,  Adebayo Salami, popularly known as Oga Bello speaks, there is little else to do than to listen. With more than 50 years of experience in the movie industry, everything he says must be gold or one may just as well be doing away with wisdom as the man radiates wisdom, knowledge and experience.

In a recent chat with Potpourri, the veteran Thespian gave reasons he has not been appearing much in English-speaking films, reiterating that what matters to him most is the preservation of Yoruba culture. He also admitted that he had not been getting many calls for English films even though the Yoruba ones are of more importance to him

“Well, I cannot speak for those people that did not invite me, they have their personal  reasons and I don’t want to go into it so much but I am sure if am invited I can express myself and I can interpret  roles in English,” he said.““ I don’t normally participate in English films like Jide Kosoko does  but  I must confess to you, if you come to me and you want to pay N1 million for a film and I have another script of  Yoruba movie  that wants to pay me N200,000 I prefer to go for Yoruba film. No harm meant by that, Yoruba is my language, and it is my culture I want to promote the most”he added.
