NFF president, Amaju Pinnick (right), led the team that talked with Sunday Oliseh in London…• Federation begins preparation for AFCON, World Cup qualifiers<emThe Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) has debunked the rumour that it is planning to sack Super Eagles manager, Sunday Oliseh, over Nigeria’s early exit from the ongoing Africa Nations Championship (CHAN) taking place in Rwanda.Speaking to The Guardian at the weekend, NFF Assistant Director, Media, Ademola Olajire, said the federation still had faith in Oliseh’s ability to revamp the Super Eagles anddescribed the speculations on the coach’s impending sack as false.Olajire revealed that the NFF had already started a programme that would aid Oliseh to qualify Nigeria for the 2017 Africa Nations Cup, adding that the federation was also committed to the national team’s entire quest to qualify for major championships this year.He revealed that the body had already started making moves for grade A friendlies for the Super Eagles to put the team in good shape ahead of the qualifiers, maintaining that all hands must be on deck to assist the senior national team regain its respect in football.“The NFF has never at any point issued a sack notice to Oliseh. After the CHAN ouster, the NFF focus now is to qualify the Eagles for the 2017 African Nations Cup. We are giving total commitment to the quest because the World Cup qualifier starts in October.“After the AFCON qualifiers in September, the federation will shift focus to the World Cup qualifiers,” he said.
