the atmosphere of live
recordings and
performances,
providing music as a
platform to bridge
cultural and national
barriers, encourage
unity and introduce a
sense of African pride.
Riding on the liquid
idea of Coke Studio
Africa, Coke Studio
will emphasise that,
“When TWO believers
bring their worlds
together; the outcome
is bigger and better.”
The initiative is a
platform from Coca-
Cola to bring together
upcoming and the less
mainstream musicians
from various genres to
collaborate musically.
This season will bring
together 28 artistes
from five different
countries to sing 52

produce unique songs.

their talents.

will be visited and
over 200, 000 students
are expected to have
the Coke Studio
experience. There
would also be a radio
version for Coke
Studio Africa, and it
will air across seven

PH, Kano, Aba,
Anambra and Ibadan).
According to the
organisers, the new
season will also delight
the audience with
surprise collaborations
from the lined-up
artistes, resulting into

also be a live show of
experiencing musical
improvisation and the
magical harmony of
African artistes.
Commenting on the
initiative, Marketing
Director, Coca-Cola,
Patricia Jemibewon
described the music
platform as Coca-Cola’s
of sharing in the
passions and
aspirations of the
African youths.
Jemibewon said, “Coke
Studio is a way of
showing to the youths
and also exploring
the potential avenue
for youths to express
themselves through
the music. Of course,
Africa has a culturally
diverse, yet enormous
talent; which we are
simply exploring and
projecting through the
show.”
Coke Studio Africa is a
demonstration of Coca-
Cola’s belief in the
youth of Africa, a
celebration of
